My first film project, The One That Got Away, was created for a class assignment called “Wes Anderson: Daily Routine.” The film uses contrasting elements—peaceful jazz, soft lighting, and slow, controlled movement against screaming audio, darker lighting, and disturbing subject matter—to create an intentionally uneasy tone. It follows a teenager who is chronically online, but when he is not scrolling through TikTok or listening to unsettling audio, he secretly tracks down child predators.

For the One Last Chance film project, I directed and edited the final film. I experimented with driving drum beats, long tracking shots, and quick pacing to create a constant feeling of tension and urgency. The film follows three friends who stay out late instead of preparing for an important basketball tryout. Theu oversleep and are forced to deal with the consequences of their choices.

Cheap Shot is a short film I wrote and directed for the “Backwards Film Project.” The film begins with a man in solitary confinement, then works backward through a series of events to reveal how he ended up there, eventually ending with an intense fight scene in an underground fight club. I used shaky close-ups, quick pacing, and frequent jump cuts to keep the film fast and energetic, while building more tension as each action sequence becomes more intense.
